Symrise AG’s supervisory board has approved an early contract extension for CFO Olaf Klinger, the company announced.
With the extension, Klinger will continue to manage the company’s finances for another five years, through January 2024.
He has served as head of Symrise’s finance department since January 2016. In the role, he has successfully executed a number of strategic growth initiatives, such as providing a diverse range of financing instruments for the company’s sale of Pinova industrial activities in November 2016 and the acquisition of British beverage company Corbell in May 2017.

"We are delighted to have Olaf Klinger on board to lead the financial department for another five years,” said chairman of the supervisory board Dr. Thomas Rabe. “By extending his contract now, we are demonstrating our long-term orientation, and we are also showing our recognition for his strong past performance. Olaf Klinger did an outstanding job in addressing the increasing challenges of the international capital markets and enjoys an excellent reputation within our financial community."
