RIFM Board Names New President

The Research Institute for Fragrance Materials (RIFM) has named James C. Romine as its new president, succeeding David Wilcox, who retired in May 2015.

Romine was vice president, product stewardship and regulatory affairs at DuPont in Wilmington, Delaware. He was the first to lead DuPont’s functional competency for managing product stewardship and regulatory compliance in all markets and geographies and joined DuPont in 1980 in Richmond, Virginia as a research chemist in the Nomex fiber business. Romine received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Michigan.

“Based on his varied experience, I am confident that Dr. Romine will contribute to the success of RIFM both in the scientific field and as a caring leader of the team,” said RIFM’s board of directors chair, Michael Carlos.
