Prolitec Appoints Chief Engineer and Principal Designer

Prolitec Inc., a developer of air treatment, scenting and air care technologies under the Air/Q Atmospheres brand, announced the appointments of Matthew Ansley as chief engineer and Howard Tanner as principal designer. Both are based in the company’s Milwaukee headquarters.

Ansley, who will be responsible for directing all engineering operations, reports to Craig A. Kelly, vp director of technology development. He comes to Prolitec from Motorola Mobility Inc. in Libertyville, Illinois, where he most recently served as principal staff mechanical engineer. Ansley began his career with Motorola in 2001 as a senior mechanical engineer in the company’s personal communications sector.

Tanner, who joined Prolitec in 2012 and reports to Ansley, was promoted from senior design engineer. Before coming to Prolitec, he worked at BARD Medical, Covington, Georgia as a senior design engineer in the company’s StatLock and New Concepts groups. He began his career in 1982 as an industrial design manager for HGM Medical Laser Systems in Salt Lake City, Utah and went on to serve as director of industrial design at Endo Vascular Associates, Washington, D.C. and senior project manager at JJL Technologies, Morton Grove, Illinois.

Over the course of his career, he was awarded more than 30 patents in the areas of medical, consumer and engineering product development.
