Monell’s board of directors has selected Robert Margolskee as the center’s next director and president, effective Oct. 1, 2014.
He succeeds Gary Beauchamp, who is stepping down after 24 years with the organization.
Margolskee joined Monell’s faculty in 2009 and was appointed associate director in 2010. Among his successes, Monell cited Margolskee’s role as architect and principle investigator of Monell’s NIH-funded Core Center for the Chemical Senses and his oversight of Monell’s current strategic plan.
