Spanning a 32-year career in research and development, Thoen previously worked for P&G from 1988 to 2011, working in a variety of research and development roles. In 2011, he was appointed to his current role with Givaudan and then in October 2015 he joined the executive committee. Across his career, Thoen participated in numerous technology discoveries, resulting in more than 80 patents.

“On behalf of Givaudan’s leadership team, I would like to thank Chris Thoen for his contributions over the past seven years. He successfully advanced key programs in flavors, expanded Givaudan’s global innovation collaborations with external partners, and established a solid foundation to strategically manage the S&T portfolio with increased transparency. I wish him all the best for his retirement,” said Gilles Andrier, CEO of Givaudan.

At the end of May, Theon will step down from the executive committee and then will provide strategic support up until his retirement.
