FEMA Awards 2014 Dr. Richard Hall Scholarship to Ian Ronningen

Flavor and Extract Manufacturers Association (FEMA) has awarded The 2014 Dr. Richard Hall Scholarship to Ian Ronningen.

Ronningen, a two-time recipient of the scholarship, is currently pursuing a doctorate in food science with a concentration in flavor chemistry at the University of Minnesota. His area of research is developing un-targeted methods to identify chemical reactions and mechanisms relating to loss in freshness in food.

FEMA established the Dr. Richard L. Hall Scholarship in Flavor Science in 2009 to recognize and celebrate Dr. Hall's dedication to the flavor industry. The scholarship was funded by FEMA and its members and has been awarded annually to graduate students in the flavor sciences or a discipline
