Firmenich (Geneva, Switzerland) has named Armand de Villoutreys president of the perfumery division and a member of the executive committee, effective July 1, 2010. He succeeds the retiring Michel Bongi, who retires after 39 years with the company. De Villoutreys has been with Firmenich since 1999 and was previously vice president of fine fragrance worldwide. Bongi joined Firmenich in 1971 and held various positions, including fragrance development manager; marketing manager in charge of fragrance evaluation and marketing; sales, marketing and general management in the United States and United Kingdom; strategic account director for a key account; managing director, ASEAN and South Asia; regional vice president of perfumery for Asia Pacific; and corporate vice president of perfumery.
