David Michael Hires and Promotions

David Michael & Co. (Philadelphia) has named Nicole Katz associate account manager for their sales training account management program (STAMP). The program is an extensive 12–16 month training course covering all aspects of the food and beverage industry. The company has also appointed Kathy Ciannamea flavor chemist. Ciannamea has 24 years of experience in flavor chemistry, most recently with Symrise. Jeffrey Swan has been hired as senior account manager covering the greater Chicago area. Swan was previously with Unilever, NutraSweet, Nestle/FIS, Tate & Lyle and Mastertaste Flavors.

David Michael & Co. has promoted Barbara Willie to manager of quality systems and safety with responsibility in the area of HACCP, safety, vendor/customer audit’s, SOP reviews and GMP’s in the lab and operations. The company has also promoted Ed Albaugh to manager of quality control and analytical services. Prior to this new position, Albaugh was a senior flavor chemist for 11 years.

David Michael de Mexico has promoted Mónica Pérez to commercial sales representative. Formerly in the applications lab, Pérez is responsible for sales service and coordinating the sensory evaluation area. The international branch has also hired Jorge Piedad as flavor chemist. Piedad has more than 8 years of experience in the industry.
