Mint oil and flavor supplier I.P. Callison has hired Darryl Battig as its new food safety manager. Battig began the position on April 16. Battig has held various quality assurance positions and at several companies in the food industry since 1999. Most recently, he was director of quality assurance at SK Food Group in Seattle. He brings with him training in microbiology, chemistry, microbiology and sensory evaluation, and he has experience in hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP).
