Symrise announces its supervisory board has extended the contracts of CEO Heinz-Jürgen Bertram, Flavor & Nutrition board member Hans Holger Gliewe and CFO Bernd Hirsch. Hirsch’s and Gliewe’s contracts were extended to the end of 2015, and Bertram’s was extended through 2017, helping to ensure the continuation of the company’s senior management team. This team also includes Scent & Care’s Achim Daub, whose current contract runs through 2013.
Thomas Rabe, chairman of the Symrise supervisory board, commented, “We are delighted about the contract extensions for Bertram, Gliewe and Hirsch. Together with their colleague Achim Daub, they form an experienced and successful management team that will continue to lead the company with a steady hand and clear perspective. Bertram has spent more than 20 years with Symrise and its predecessor company, Haarmann & Reimer. He was appointed to the executive board in 2006 and became CEO in 2009. Gliewe also previously worked for Haarmann & Reimer, since 1982, and has held a range of managerial positions in Latin America. He was appointed to the executive board on in 2009. Hirsch has held the post of Symrise CFO since 2009. Before that, he was CFO of Carl Zeiss Meditec AG.
