FONA International (Geneva, IL) announced Jody Emmel and Lindsay Mahon achieved the title of certified flavor chemist. Additionally, Marissa Piazza earned the title of apprentice member of The Society of Flavor Chemists. They successfully completed their Society of Flavor Chemists exams on December 1.
Emmel has worked with FONA’s confections and savory teams creating flavors since 1999. He also has experience running reactors and spray dryers in the company’s pilot plant. Mahon began working at FONA in 2002 as a compounding technician and now develops flavors as a member of the confections business unit. Piazza joined FONA in 2009 after working four and a half years in flavor development for another flavor and fragrance company. She also works with the confections team.
