According to Reuters report, Unilever has agreed to sell its margarine and spreads business to global investment firm, KKR, for $8 billion (€6.8 billion). The company began to seek investors earlier this year, which included Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. Unilever's sale is intended to unify its business structure and offer flexibility for future demergers. The cash from the deal will be returned to shareholders unless Unilever finds another value-added acquisition.
