Symrise AG will open a site for research, development and the manufacturing of sustainable ingredients from the Amazon region in the fourth quarter. It is part of the Ecoparque in Benevides in the state of Pará, which is an industrial condominium that combines sustainability and product manufacturing.
With its SymTrap technology, Symrise will produce oils, butters and essential oils from raw materials such as the Brazil nut, murumuru, cupuaçú, cocoa, andiroba, buriti and passion fruit suitable for use in cosmetic and fragrance products.
