Sozio Buys Elias Fragrances; Expands Presence in North, Latin America

Sozio SAS (Levallois-Perret, France) has acquired fine fragrance and personal care manufacturer Elias Fragrances (Brooklyn, NY), in a move to expand its presence in North and Latin America.

Sozio will take over most of Elias' existing fragrance customers and products portfolio which are now manufactured at its facility based in Piscataway, New Jersey. The company's strategy has been to grow in the fine fragrances and personal care categories and most recently bought APF Arômes et Parfums in 2013.

Access to a vast portfolio of botanical oils, absolutes and extracts, as well as technical advancements and formulation expertise, are crucial tools for new product development.
