Senomyx Inc. (San Diego) has been certified by SCS Global Services, a third-party certifying organization, under the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Level 3 Standard. SQF Level 3 certification includes a comprehensive review of all food safety programs in place at Senomyx, as well as a formal validation of the quality systems in place to maintain the certification.
As announced in November, the company expects the first commercial sale of a product containing Sweetmyx S617, a flavor ingredient used to reduce the sweetener level while maintaining a sweet taste, will occur mid-2015.
