Renessenz Achieves Food Safety System Certification 22000:2010

Renessenz (Jacksonville, FL) has met the requirements with the Food Safety System Certification 22000:2010 for its Winsense WS-3 and menthyl lactate.

The certification system consists of an annual audit of the food safety management system and an annual verification of the PRP elements and additional requirements as included in the scheme and ISO/TS 22002-1.

“Achieving FSSC 22000 certification is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to ensure the safety of the flavor ingredients that Renessenz produces," said Brenda Murray, director of regulatory of Renessenz.

Murray said the company made a multimillion dollar investment in GMP-compliant packaging and warehouse facilities and a Renessenz has developed a strategy with clear milestones to achieve certification for all flavor ingredients it produces within the next 24 months.

"At a time when customers demand and deserve greater reassurance that the products they purchase are safe for use in food, Renessenz is proud to be able to provide that to them," Murray added.
