Perfumer & Flavorist Publisher Co-Hosts Humanitarian Service Campaign

For the third consecutive year, Allured Business Media, publisher of Perfumer & Flavorist, will co-host a humanitarian campaign to support a local senior citizen in need. This year's donation-matching program is held in conjunction with the Humanitarian Service Project (HSP).

The campaign will take place between Monday, August 18, and Friday, October 17, 2014 and anyone can help as part of this continual effort. For every dollar donated to HSP, Allured will match it—up to a total of $7,500. This fundraiser is designed with the goal of adding one impoverished senior to HSP’s Senior Citizen Project to support.

Poverty-stricken seniors enrolled in the Senior Citizen Project receive a monthly supply of groceries, including eight fresh vegetables, seven fresh fruits, seven frozen meats, at least three loaves of Pepperidge Farm Bread, six bags of non-perishables and a monthly Secret Pal gift. In addition to groceries, every three months, sponsored seniors receive a care package of personal items including shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, dental floss, lotion, soap and hand sanitizer.

Leading the way as a source for global information for the fragrance and flavor, cosmetic, and spa/salon industries for more than 80 years, Allured partnered with the Humanitarian Service Project in 2012 and 2013 to successfully add one senior to the program each year. The total current enrollment is 123.
