Perfumed Plume presented Sarah Colton, author of “Bad Girls Perfume Tips & Tales,” at the premiere of its new event devoted to fragrance journalism. The event was held at Joya, a fragrance design studio in Brooklyn.

“We were so honored that Sarah flew in especially from Paris for this first in a series of Perfumed Plume events dedicated to creative fragrance writing,” said Mary Ellen Lapsansky, co-founder. “Sarah’s talent writing about such an ephemeral, mysterious topic is an inspiration to any aspiring journalist.”

Colton shared information on the sensual scents that influenced men and women throughout history. She also presented her take on perfume and why it is empowering.

“Such a thrill to be asked to read from my book ‘Bad Girls Perfume’ at the very first Perfumed Plume Awards evening dedicated to fragrance journalism,” said Colton. “A great audience, a fantastic location at Joya fragrance studio set the scene for this tale of scent, seduction, passion and power.”
