In response to consumers’ interest in fresh and clean products, Bell Flavors & Fragrances is offering botanical extracts from vegetables, spices and herbs for natural and organic fragrances and cosmetics.

Due to their health benefits and positively-perceived attributes, plants are showing up more frequently in fragrances and skin care products. In addition to using spices and herbs in fragrances, perfumers are using plants like tomato, sage, green pepper, corn and sweet potato.

“Those who want to convince today’s increasingly demanding consumer need to think outside the box and set trends, said Anja Reissig, marketing specialist for Bell Flavors & Fragrances. “Vegetable fragrances are a good example of how the extraordinary can be used to address the consumer’s desire for a healthier way of life.”
