Bell Flavors and Fragrances has successfully completed its Safety Quality Foods (SQF) level three re-certification audits for its North American manufacturing plants, in which each company received an "excellent" rating. The re-certification process also includes employee interviews to ensure employees are trained in safety.

Bell’s goal is to achieve the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) certification for its flavor department. Locations that have been GFSI certified include Northbrook, Illinois; Middletown, New York; Guadalajara, Mexico; Brossard, Montreal; Leipzig, Germany and Shanghai, China.

John Washburn, director of quality systems, said, “For six years straight, Bell Northbrook has achieved certification of SQF 7.2 Level 3, all at the highest rating of ‘excellent’. We are committed to safe quality food products and we will strive to continuously improve our products and operations. The hard work and dedication of all our employees is evident in this.”
