All Segments Grow, Boosting Naturex Q2

Naturex (Avignon, France) has reported second quarter revenue of €61.2 million, up 23.5% year-over-year. Those figures illustrated rising momentum from the first quarter. Results were boosted by the integration of Natraceutical's ingredients division. For the first half of the year, Naturex posted revenues of €112.1 million, a gain of 15.4% year-over-year. The company notes that these results make its growth targets of up to 10% realistic. This year, all of the company's segments have experienced growth; food and beverage now accounts for 59.7% of group sales, nutrition and health for 34.0%, and personal care for 1.1%. Europe and Africa account for 54.0% of group activity, North and South America for 35.9%, and the Asia/Pacific region for 10.1%.

Of the results, president, CEO and founder Jacques Dikansky said, "This excellent start to the year has strengthened our position as the world leader in specialty plant-based ingredients, a sector with a strong market potential that is set to stay.
