Orgasynth (Paris) has announced an 8.7% drop in 2006 turnover, totaling €110.9 million (2005: €121.4 million). Operating results for the year reached €1.7 million. The turnover drop largely resulted from complications in the “other activities” sector—primarily comprised of flavors and fragrances—including staff layoff charges at Adrian Industries and a plant closure/site restructuring at Orgachim. This sector reported turnover of €33.6 million. However, restructuring led to an operating result of -€6.6 million.
