Quest Invests in Creative Centers; Fragrance Hires

Quest International has announced that in 2007 it will make significant investments in people and dedicated creative and technical facilities to support the company’s global growth plans. Specialized centers for personal and home care fragrances will be created in Paris and Ashford, UK, respectively during 2007. A new regional creative center has also recently opened in Bangkok, Thailand that will house a creative team and support for clients in the developing markets.

In addition, the company has announced a series of appointments that will strengthen Quest’s global fine fragrance perfumery team. Olivier Pescheux and Christophe Raynaud have been named senior perfumers at the creative center in Paris. Pescheux has been creating fine fragrances for over 17 years, most recently with Givaudan, Kao Corp., Les Parfums Annick Goutal and Payan and Bertrand. Raynaud has 15 years of experience in the industry, most recently with Symrise, drom fragrances and Créations Arômatique. Pescheux and Raynaud report to Francois Bousquet, who has been appointed to the new post of vice president global fine fragrance category. Bousquet, based in the creative center in Paris, is responsible for the global evaluation and perfumery functions of the fine fragrance division. He worked most recently with Firmenich. 

In the United States, Pierre Negrin has been named vice president executive perfumer. Negrin joins Quest from Givaudan where he has worked for the past 15 years.
