In with the New: a Note from the Editor

When you’re finished changing, you’re finished.
-Benjamin Franklin

We’re never finished changing. Over the course of this year you’ll notice an array of new print and online features: resources and voices from Perfumer & Flavorist magazine that will deliver timely and targeted technical and business information.

Beginning with our March issue, we are delighted to welcome our newest flavor columnist, John Wright. Each month, John will discuss formulating with some of his favorite ingredients, beginning with methyl jasmonate, as well as creating winning flavors for various regions around the world. John’s 30-plus years in the industry provide a unique technical outlook and passion that we’re proud to have in our pages. This week, he joins our panel of experts in an ongoing series of industry insights, "The F&F Horizon: 2009 and Beyond."

Meanwhile, our new Associate Editor, Aditi Inamdar, has begun liaising with the industry on news and feature assignments. Event, news and raw material notices may be sent to her directly.

Finally, you may have noticed that our newsletter and Web site have a new look and feel. The site features discrete sections devoted to flavor, fragrance, networking, events and the magazine. Breaking stories and online features will be updated every business day, and expect to see new features cycle into the mix throughout the year.

In the wake of these additions and changes, we want to hear from you about how we can serve up increasingly relevant information and resources. Contact me any time at [email protected].
