Treatt Half-Year Results

Treatt PLC (Bury St. Edmunds, UK) has reported half-year 2006 (ended March 31, 2006) profit before tax of 1.62 million pounds, a gain of 26 percent from the same period 2005. Group turnover rose 18 percent to 17.32 million pounds. EBITDA increased by 18 percent to 2.16 million pounds.

Of the results, Treatt chairman Edward Dawnay said, “The Group has performed excellently over the last six months with both the UK and US subsidiaries replacing last year’s one-off orange and grapefruit profits with strong sales growth across the Group’s highly diversified product range. The prospects for the remainder of the year are good with Treatt USA expected to continue its growth with Group profits in the second half expected to be stronger than the first half.”
