WILD (Heidelberg, Germany) has opened a new logistics center in Eppelheim, Germany. The warehouse, which took 15 months to build, should enable the company to offer a more efficient and reliable supply of ingredients to its customers. WILD produces 350,000 t of finished goods — including compounds, flavors and fruit solutions — annually in Eppelheim. The new facility contains 1,000 engines and 2.5 km of materials handling equipment in the high rack warehouse. In addition, there are 15,000 bays available for tanks and pallets, enabling the new center to receive or send out up to 200 pallets per hour.
