Symrise AG gave its sixth annual sustainability report a new look and structure, earning it a spot at level A in the Global Reporting Initiative's (GRI) G3 guidelines.
Perhaps more importantly, the report shows what progress was made in 2011. Measured against the 2007 baseline, energy consumption is down 23%, carbon dioxide emissions are down 22%, water use is down 31%, waste is down 29% and accidents per million hours worked are down 46%. The company is working with its suppliers to promote biodiversity and employee health and growth.
