McCormick Annual Report Features Garam Masala Scent

McCormick & Company has released its 2011 annual report with an updated feature—a garam masala scent. McCormick has been scenting its annual reports for more than 30 years, and past scents include cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg.

The 2011 annual report’s garam masala scent is a sweet, aromatic spice blend that brings a warm, exotic flavor and has been called the “heart” of Indian cuisine. It includes elements of coriander, black pepper, cumin, cardamom and cinnamon, and it is often used in cooking or as a finishing touch in a curry or other Indian dish.

The scent was applied to the annual report by Schmitz Press after it was printed.
