Robertet Opens New Fragrance Production Facility in Grasse

Robertet recently inaugurated a new fragrance production facility, located in Plan-de-Grasse, France. The facility represents a €27 million investment by the company, with Robertet reaffirming its place and commitment to the region with a spirit of continuity. Of the new facility, Philippe Maubert, president of Robertet, commented, “An industrial family enterprise which aims to be a leader worldwide must invest to ensure its timelessness.”

Designed by architect Pascal Costamagna, the new production plant includes a 12,000-square-meter fragrance compounding unit, which brings together production, logistics and quality control under the same roof. It is estimated the facility will produce approximately 4,000 to 6,000 tons of perfume annually. The facility is also fully automated, helping Robertet increase its productivity by an estimated 50%, with a production line backed by a fully automated transport system and an automated storage center. It also helps provide the facility’s 140 employees with better working conditions, as the raw materials are lifted and carried by robots while the air is renewed seven times an hour.
