Sensient Expands CO2 Extraction Activities

Expanding its proprietary natural extraction activities in response to growing health and wellness market demands, Sensient Flavors & Fragrances Group (Indianapolis) has opened a CO2 extraction plant in Indianapolis. The site includes extractors and R&D pilot units. The company also operates a CO2 site in Bletchley, United Kingdom. 

Of the opening, Jean-Philippe Giorgis, sales director of Sensient US Flavor Systems, said, "Today’s consumer market places an increased emphasis on foods and beverages with authentic tastes and recognizable, wholesome ingredients."
