The global flavor and fragrance market totaled ~$22 billion in 2010, up from $20 billion in 2009, according to numbers assembled by Leffingwell & Associates. At the same time, the market share of the 10 largest companies totaled ~$16.7 billion, 76% of the total in 2010, compared to 72.6% in 2009. As modest growth returned to mature economies and accelerated growth continued in key developing markets, the total flavor and fragrance makret grew about 10% in 2010.
