According to a Jan. 3, 2011 article in the San Diego Business Journal by Steve Sinovic, Senomyx (San Diego) has entered into an agreement to develop novel flavor modulators for use in gum and medicated confectionary products for Cadbury Adams USA LLC, a unit of Kraft Foods. The agreement includes terms that Cadbury Adams will pay an undisclosed sum to Senomyx for the collaborative efforts, funding development and also agreeing to pay specified amounts upon reaching product development milestones. Cadbury Adams can then evaluate any resulting flavor modulator products for commercialization, and Senomyx will also receive royalty payments based on sales.
