Vertellus Specialities Inc. (Indianapolis, IN) announced a share purchase agreement that makes it the sole owner and operator of China’s Nantong Reilly Chemical Corporation (NRCC), helping to expand Vertellus’ reach in the Chinese marketplace. The facility, located in Nantong, China, produces pyridine and picoline. The agreement separates Vertullus from its agreement with the Nantong Acetic Acid Chemical Corporation, which jointly opened and operated the NRCC with Vertullus. Sole control of the facility will enable Vertellus to better coordinate its operations within the company’s global production infrastructure, and the share purchase agreement was completed on November 30, 2010 and will completely end NAACC’s financial and operational involvement.
