CSA Relaunches Website

“We wanted to bring the site into the 21st century … and make it more accessible and friendly to our members,” says Christine Daley, discussing the relaunch of the Chemical Sources Association’s website.

In addition to offering information and online registration for upcoming events, the site features news, discussion forums and membership signup.

For members only, the site now offers a listing of FEMA GRAS suppliers; the popular “Ask the Sourceress” tool for sourcing of hard-to-find ingredients; a monthly profile of select molecules featuring information such as taste and odor notes and suggested applications and, when available, chemical structures and sensory diagrams; event photos; and optional networking profiles. The goal, say Daley and colleague Cyndie Lipka, is to boost the site’s interactive content and deliver more exclusive benefits to members.

Voting representatives from member companies may add staff to the CSA contact list. Once added to this list, member company staff can log into the website and create their own passwords and profiles. Participants are able to share as much or as little information as they wish—to ensure privacy, the CSA site allows contacts to keep information hidden.

Those with questions about CSA or using the new site are encouraged to contact Diane Davis; tel: 1-732-922-3008.
