Two new perfume oil mixing and dosing facilities at the headquarters of Symrise (Holzminden, Germany), representing a € 5 million investment, have boosted production capacity by 25%. The new facilities, addressing growth in demand in fine fragrance, body care, detergents and household cleaner categories, include a production dosing system for additional raw materials and a 1,000-element dosing system for perfume oil mixing. The expansion centralizes production for the Europe, Africa and Middle East region. The move includes the hiring of 30 new employees.
Of the announcement, CEO Heinz-Jürgen Bertram said, “The expansion of our perfume oil production underscores the great importance of the Holzminden site for Symrise. Through the optimal exploitation of our capacities, we are also implementing our strategy to prosper substantially under our own steam — an important foundation for our long-term business success.”
Scent & Care president Achim Daub added, “With the expansion, we are strengthening our position in the fragrance field. Through the activation of the facilities, which conform to the highest technological standards, we will set new standards in quality and delivery capacity.”
