The Fragrance Foundation announced the 2011 Top Ten FiFi Finalists. With online voting taking place this year for the first time, Rochelle Bloom, The Fragrance Foundation president, commented, “Announcing the top ten finalists is exciting as now we can really say we are in FiFi mode and look forward to the fun and anticipation at The FiFi Finalists Breakfast on April 8th when it gets narrowed down to the top five.” And Mary Ellen Lapsansky, vice president of The Fragrance Foundation, added, “Making the change from paper ballots of previous years to online balloting has proven to be a great success. Being able to view all the beautiful visuals of exquisite bottles, innovative packaging, spectacular media campaigns in video and print brought the FiFi voting process to life.”

Finalists in the following categories will be announced at The FiFi Finalists Breakfast: Best Packaging, Women’s Prestige; Best Packaging, Men’s Prestige; Best Packaging, Women’s Broad Appeal; Best Packaging, Men’s Broad Appeal; Women’s Media Campaign; Men’s Media Campaign; Bath and Body Line; Interior Scent Collection; and Perfume Extraordinaire.

Finalists in the following categories will be announced and the winners presented with a FiFi Award at The FiFi Finalists Breakfast: Editorial Excellence in Fragrance Coverage: Women’s Scent Feature, Women’s Scent Bite, Men’s Scent Feature and Blog; Technological Breakthrough: Packaging Technology & Delivery Systems, Fragrance Creation & Formulation, and Information Technology.

Additionally, there are new categories. Fragrance Superstar Of The Year awards the best fragrance launch of the year regardless of gender or distribution category. Balloting for Fragrance Superstar Of The Year will take place at The FiFi Finalists Breakfast followed by on-the-spot, interactive, instant voting for the winner during The FiFi Awards. Also new is the Consumer’s Choice Award, with 100% of the vote by consumers via social media, and the Fragrance Hall of Fame, which, for the very first time, will be presented for both women’s and men’s fragrances.
