This invention describes a composition of at least 85% w/w (Z)-4,8-dimethyl-2,7-nonadien-4-ol and up to 15% w/w (E)-4,8-dimethyl-2,7-nonadien-4-ol for use as a perfuming ingredient to the confer sage, floral and spicy notes.

According to the patent, the composition is applicable for perfume, fabric care, body care, air care and home care. It also can serve as the base in a fine perfume, cologne, after-shave lotion, liquid or solid detergents, fabric softeners or refreshers, shampoo, hair spray, deodorants or antiperspirants and more.
