Review Panel Calls for Fragrance Ingredients

An independent expert panel is calling for information on fragrance ingredients that it will review in January 2011. The fragrance materials it intends to analyze are ketone cyclopentanones and cyclopentenones, tegetes phototoxicity, and macrocyclic lactones, lactides and ketones, and information regarding these fragrance materials should be submitted by e-mail to Ladd Smith, [email protected], by December 21, 2010 to be considered for the January 2011 meeting.

The global fragrance industry collectively carries out research on fragrance ingredients through RIFM. An independent, third-party expert panel regularly reviews RIFM's research and publishes their evaluations in peer-reviewed scientific literature available publicly.

These fragrances are marketed for their mood-enhancing and wellness properties.
