Raw Material Bulletin: June 2015

This monthly collection of new raw material introductions ranges from amber, natural yogurt fat modulators and l-linalool oxide, to massoia lactone natural, dihydroambrettolide extra pure and more.

For example, Natural Taste Consulting featured natural yogurt fat modulators, which can be used in dairy applications to modulate the acidic taste found in nonfat yogurt while adding a creamy succulence to the taste and mouthfeel. The recommended use level is 0.1-0.2% as consumed. This ingredient is worldwide natural, kosher, vegetarian and non-GMO.

Additional ingredients covered include: Amber Xtreme from IFF; l-linalool oxide from Natural Tast Consulting; massoia lactone natural from Berjé; α- and β-damascone from Organica Aromatics Corp.; ethyl myristate, natural and 2-acetoxy-3-butanone, natural, from Sigma-Aldrich; Mentha piperita and spearmint oils from Aromatic & Allied Chemicals; dihydroambrettolide extra pure from CS International; and 2(2,4-dimethylcyclohex-3-ene-1-yl)-5-methyl-5-(1methylpropyl)-1,3-dioxane and 3-(2,2-dimethyl-3-hydroxypropyl)toluene from Primechem.
