Rose Oil and Extracts
Although rose oil and extracts are produced from more than one species of rose, this review is totally devoted to Rosa damascena Mill., which is grown commercially in Bulgaria, Turkey and to a lesser extent, India and Morocco. Lindström and Jaquier (1993) analyzed a sample of Bulgarian rose oil to determine the enantiomeric distribution of a number of constituents.
