Lavender oil—An oil of lavendar that was obtained commercially in Trieste (Italy) was screened for its toxicity by Evandri et al. (2005). The oil, which was found to possess no mutagenic activity using the bacterial reverse mutation assay, was determined by GC/MS to contain the following major components.
