Island lifestyle brand Tommy Bahama has launched Maritime Deep Blue, a new men’s fragrance.
Inspired by the pastime of sailing, the fragrance is bottled in an ocean blue bottle with a nautical rope-wrapped metal cleat. The fragrance blends fresh, woody notes and marine notes. The fragrance includes top notes of cardamom, bergamot, juniper oil and rosemary; heart notes of water lily, orris and geranium; and base notes of patchouli, cedar wood, musk and moss.
"I was inspired by a trip to a secluded beach—it was so rustic and elemental, that I wanted to express its authenticity—the powerful waves, deep waters, strong winds and sizzling hot sun," said Frank Voelkl, Firmenich perfumer who created the scent. "Maritime Deep Blue captures this intensity with a burst of watery freshness, crisp aromatic notes and sun-drenched driftwood."
