Oral care compositions having improved freshness
U.S. Patent Application 20150328091
Publication date: Nov. 19, 2015
Assignee: The Procter & Gamble Company

Oral care compositions contain flavor compositions to provide a desirable experience for the user as well as impart breath-freshening benefits after brushing. Accordingly, it is desirable to provide the user with the maximum flavor release as soon as possible so they may best experience the flavor for the maximized duration of the brushing episode or other oral treatment.

Here, an oral care composition is disclosed comprising 20% to 75% w/w water; 25% to 60% w/w calcium-containing abrasive; and 0.001% to 5% w/w flavorant. Further, its rheology profile is characterized by at least one of the following parameters: 10*K (Pa•s) value from 100 to 3,000; (−10000*)n (rate index) value from −5000 to −1300; 10*Yield Stress value from 100 to 3,500; average G′ value from 100 to 2000; or average G″ value 100 to 1000.
