Papa John's Spending $100 Mil to Remove Artificial Ingredients

Following companies like Panera and General Mills who recently announced plans on eliminating artificial ingredients, Papa John’s plans to spend about $100 million a year to remove the chemicals and additives from its menus, according to a Bloomberg report.

The pizza franchise, which removed monosodium glutamate, or MSG, from its ranch dressing last year and pulled trans fats from its garlic sauce, is looking at a list of 14 ingredients, including corn syrup, artificial colors and various preservatives, that will be banished by the end of 2016, the report said.
