Symrise Introduces BrewTopia for the Beer Industry
Posted: September 10, 2009
Symrise (Holzminden, Germany) has launched BrewTopia, a range of flavorings that helps to create different kinds of beer using a single brew and without any loss of flavor. The flavorings are a part of a modular system that allows creation of range of nuances such as pilsners, ales and stouts; special boosters can help compensate for underdeveloped aspects like fruitiness, malt and hops, while cooling flavors and other components can round off the profile of a beer. The BrewTopia range consists of nature-identical and natural flavorings, and FTNS (from the named source) products that are obtained directly from the brewing process. The new flavors can be added to non-alcoholic beers, malted products (for a fuller and more authentic beer flavor), craft beers and beer blends.
Of the new product, Harald Schmidt, category director alcoholic beverages, Symrise, says, “BrewTopia guarantees a full flavor sensation in the finished product of each type of beer. At the same time, we offer the industry individuality and flexibility in its applications … [It] is a huge step forward as far as flavor, applications and quality are concerned.”
