One of the most important elements of a fragrance is sillage, how long it lingers in the air. And at World Perfumery Congress 2018, one master perfumer workshop, in particular, will examine sillage and how to address it in fragrance creation.
Carlos Benaïm, master perfumer for International Flavors and Fragrances, Inc., and John Brahms, Ph.D., global ST&I director of fine fragrances for International Flavors and Fragrances, Inc., will present “Sillage in Fine Fragrance” on June 6, 2018. During this class, they will discuss creative and technical drivers of sillage and its applications in perfume development. This class is exclusive to practicing perfumers.
During the class, attendees will learn how to define sillage in both a sensorial and a physical-chemical standpoint, review published works on the topic and learn how to develop further knowledge on the topic.
