Diptyque’s Soho (New York City) pop-up commemorated the French company’s 50th anniversary in fragrance with the launch of two new eau de parfums: Tempo and Fleur de Peaux, both developed by perfumer Olivier Pescheux. Taking nods from the 1960s, Tempo features sustainably extracted patchouli from Givaudan’s project in Indonesia; as well as bergamot, violet leaf, clary sage, mate and pink pepper. The musk-themed Fleur de Peaux features rose, iris, pink pepper and ambergris.

The event also featured an intimate panel discussion by Stephanie Mark, co-founder, Coveteur; Katie Becker, beauty editor, Coveteur; Jane Larkworthy, beauty expert; and Linda Levy, president, Fragrance Foundation. The discussions explored scent trends, innovations and each of their personal relationships with fragrance.

Guests were invited to experience Diptyque’s line of fragrance note by note with “e-blotters.” Each fragrance, including Tempo and Fleur de Peaux, featured up to three e-blotters that contained the main accords of the perfume. With the press of a button, a scent is emitted through the device, and users can smell individual notes. The exhibit also featured immersive fragrance installations, where guests enter into two different booths to watch a video from Oliver Peschaux himself about the creative process behind the two launches.

Both Tempo and Fleur de Peaux are available in 75mL eau de parfum.
