The Fragrance Foundation has announced the official "Indie" nominees for The Fragrance Foundation (FiFi) Award, which honors the companies and individuals who created provocative new fragrances in 2012.
The award, in its second year, recognizes creativity, artistry and entrepreneurial spirit. Elizabeth Musmanno, The Fragrance Foundation's president, will announce the five finalists at the annual award presentation hosted by Elements Showcase on Jan. 28, 2013.
“This Indie award celebrates innovation and I find it one of the more exciting areas in the fragrance industry today,” said Musmanno. “The Fragrance Foundation is proud to support the efforts of these innovators.”
“The Indie brands are a driving creative force in the fragrance industry,” added Frederick Bouchardy, co-founder of Elements Showcase. “We applaud their artistry and contribution to our industry.”
”Indie” is defined as an established brand that has been on the market for at least two years, is not distributed or owned by a large company and is sold in one to 50 stores in the U.S.
