The Society of Flavor Chemists, Inc. (SFC) will host its 432nd meeting on January 18, 2018, at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott.

In addition to SFC’s board of directors and committee chairs meetings, the event will have several presentations, which will include:

  • “Flavor of Bugs And Why Should We Eat Them?” presented by Chiangqi Liu M.D. Though controversial for Western consumers, insect-eating can provide an alternative food source that is better for the environment.
  • “Will Your Flavor Make The Cut In A Protein Beverage?” presented by Bonney Oommen, M.D. During this presentation, Oommen will discuss protein properties and processing properties.

Deadline for registration is January 12, 2018. Visit the SFC website for more details.
