UPDATED: FEMA's 101st Annual Convention Details

The Flavor and Extract Manufacturers’ Association’s (FEMA) 101st Annual Convention, “Sustainability: Beyond the Green,” will be held May 2–5, 2010 at the Ritz-Carlton, Naples, Florida. The general sessions will feature talks by Arwen Kimmell, senior ethnographic analyst, The Hartman Group; Dave Sherman, partner, Blu Skye Sustainability Consulting; and Helmut Frieden, Symrise AG.

In addition hot topics presentations will include “Lessons Learned from the HVP Recall” by Martin Hahn (Hogan & Hartson, LLC; counsel to Basic Food Flavors, Inc.), “Respiratory Safety: New Developments at OSHA and FDA” by John Hallagan (FEMA general counsel), and “Sweat E-motion: A Love Affair with an Industry” by Charles Manley, (FEMA senior science advisor).

Finally, Jorgette Mariñez (PepsiCo) will discuss sustainability initiatives sponsored by AIM-PROGRESS, which "handles initiatives that span the globe across hundreds of procurement categories to ensure its suppliers align to its performance with purpose planks."
